Two areas still stand out immediately, Barrie and Hamilton. Here is a great example of a property in Hamilton – $169,900 for a detached house with 2 parking spots. Imagine the possibilities. I don’t remember when I saw a detached home for sale for under $200k let alone for under $170K anywhere within 2 hr drive from Downtown Toronto. Maybe small detached bungalows in Hamilton industrial zone are not your cup of tea – no problem, how about a 2400sf detached home, 4 + 2 bedroom, 2 storey, double garage, for $495,000 in Barrie.
